When you haven’t done so in the preparation phase, seek advice and approval from the Ethics Committee at your faculty. Don’t forget to discuss matters related to ethics, academic integrity and copyright with your collaborators and the students that may work for you.

Whenever you work with personal data, you record in the data processing register for researchers how you will process the data. Your privacy officer will help you. At all times you must be careful when handling personal or otherwise sensitive data. New facilities and tools may become available during your project.

You’ll need to have your workplace organised. Make sure all the equipment, software and storage space are in place before you start. Contact the ISSC for all ICT services.

Make sure you have enough storage space for the data that you will be collecting. For large files you can request bulk storage in blocks of 1 TB. When collaborating and sharing files, make sure you use secure services provided by the University.
